Women and men who visit Hope Resource Center need a safe place to address their unplanned pregnancy or sexual health concern. They need someone to talk to who will listen and provide practical and accurate information. They need someone to support them and help them through whatever they’re facing – oftentimes every step of the way. Hope Resource Center’s team of nurses and patient advocates meets patients’ immediate needs by providing health services at no cost, while investing in on-going relationships with patients to impact lives with the love of Christ.
14 year-old Keisha came to us facing an unplanned pregnancy as a freshman in high school. After receiving her pregnancy test and ultrasound, she signed up for the teen parenting classes offered at our center. Although the father of her baby was not involved, she had the support of our staff and her family. When asked about her experience as a teen mother, Keisha stated, “I had a baby at 14, I was a freshman in high school. I was so scared about how hard it would be to take care of a baby and still be in high school. But now, it’s not as hard as I thought. God blessed me with a wonderful and very helpful family to go through this with me. Now I’m 15 and my daughter is 8 months old. I’m still in school, passing all my classes. God will never put you through anything you can’t handle.”
For 18 years, Hope Resource Center has provided medical services, love and support for women and men facing an unplanned pregnancy or sexual health concern. Our scope of services includes pregnancy testing, ultrasound imaging, Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) testing and treatment, medical consults, mentoring, parenting education, and material assistance.
